I’ll be honest, I love Tyson Foods as a company & Job but I just can’t see me being here that much longer I literally give my all to this job seriously, I’m the employee who don’t complain when told to do this or if no workers come in on another line , I don’t mind operating 3- 4 nothum machines at a time if needed & Management will notify you & let you know when you’re doing a hell of a job. This is the problem…We’re so understaffed, that it’s driving good workers away because of the lack of help/support. For example if 2 lines are running the same product with the same line setup, then it makes no sense for 1 line to 3-4 people operating this position at a time while the other line only has 1 person. That’s increasing the risk of injury, stress , & health in all aspects & when those key factors begin to build in a person then that person will begin to look elsewhere for employment because in that person mind , they’re going to start to think the company doesn’t care about their well being & begin to ask themselves “ should I risk my health for this company or should I go to a different company where they’re fully staffed and I’ll have the necessary support/ help to help this company Win ?

I’m happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certification: PepsiCo - Sales Job Simulation fromForage! I recently participated in PepsiCo's virtual job simulation on the Forageplatform, and it was incredibly useful to understand what it might be like toparticipate on a Sales team at PepsiCo.I worked on a project to secure an incremental product display in a retailstore. I practiced using a sales pitch and built my communication and coaching skills in a real-world context.#PepsiCoExperience"#forage"

Excited to begin my journey at C.W. Mackie plc! Today marked the first day of my new job, and I was fortunate to attend an insightful orientation led by our CMO. One piece of advice that truly resonated with me was the importance of honing our skills in creative problem-solving. As the saying goes, even the best-laid plans can encounter unexpected challenges. It's crucial to be prepared to face these issues head-on, and that's where creative problem-solving comes into play. By continuously enhancing this skill, we can navigate through uncertainties and turn obstacles into opportunities.#CreativeProblemSolving #InnovationMatters #NewBeginnings #CareerDevelopment #CWMackiePlc 🌟

Nearly 3 years ago I began my adventure at Britvic as the Supply Chain Capability Manager. During covid, home schooling (as a single parent) with Teams calls to build rapport; it was a unique start. There was no handover or blueprint as the role didn’t exist previously, but I’ve worked hard as a voice for SC development. What an incredible period it’s been for me both professionally & personally. I’m super proud of what I’ve achieved, experiences I’ve had & the development & growth this venture has enriched me with. I’m leaving my role with the resources needed and structure in place to continue the hard work ensuring Supply Chain development is recognised and maintained. Some of my biggest learnings have come from the multiple diverse challenges that have stretched me in ways I’ll always be grateful for. It’s funny that as a Learning professional, I’d almost ‘forgotten’ that very often our most impactful Learnings come from places & times we least expect them. What I’m most thankful for about my time at Britvic is the phenomenonal people I’ve met, I’ve made deep, meaningful relationships & feel privileged to have met some very special individuals who I know will be life long friends. Very grateful and excited for my next chapter. I’m excited for the opportunities I’m yet to discover within my new role at Suntory #learninganddevelopment #growthopportunities #britvic #values #leadershipjourney #supplychainmanagement #stretch #proudmoments

I started in retail at 18 years old- now turning 35I spent almost 14 years at Walmart, moving up the ladder. Never once interviewed for a job up the climb. The challenge of working and planning such a complex company was exciting and rewarding. Never did I see myself leaving Walmart but life happens.Joining Ollies as a Store manager after needing to relocate back to Pa and again tried to climb the ladder. An Ollies Store Manager their mission is simple and clear. Plan your manifest, make room for the freight, crush it in 2 days, easy lets roll. I grew bored and moved over to District LP. Covering four states worth of stores and endless travel, this became clear I should of stayed running a store. Me sitting still and searching for internals was not my thing.Petco Store Manager- before training was over it knew it wasn’t for me. Took a jump based on the pay specifically. I knew this was not for me. As an animal lover the idea of being over animals sounded great, till you as the gm are the one cleaning the cages. Very limited hours due to volume size, with a stock price hovering under $2.00Gabes Store Manager- Great bigger box than Ollies so time to roll again. More money so lets make the jump again. Five trucks a week, perfect lets plan some freight. If only it was that simple. Inconsistency with processes would be an understatement.I’m not sure if retail management is getting stale, or once you work for the giants of the world everything else seems less rewarding. Retail and retail management is surely changing.

#TigerTuesdays Only one player in PGA Tour history has won eight or more times at the same course. Tiger has done it three times at Bay Hill, Firestone and Torrey Pines. He knows those courses like the back of his hand. That's why he has been so successful. Warehouse managers don't usually have the same luck with their staff.Unless you have someone who has been in your warehouse 5+ years (average warehouse employee tenure is 1-2 years), your team will not know the warehouse as well as Tiger knows these golf courses. Rather than making them suffer through trying to remember where each item is located, give them technology that helps them do their job. A good WMS will not only make them more efficient, but will reduce errors and streamline a new hire's onboarding process.#wms #ecommerce

Damn it. Today is the last day of the last big project of my career. Well, we do have a closure meeting next week, and a celebration party a few weeks after that, but today is our last day with the vendor. We wrap things up today. It’s time to say goodbye. Normally, at this stage in a multi-year project, my mind begins switching gears as I prepare to turn my attention to my next big assignment. I lose no momentum, and just glide from the project ending to the project starting without missing a single beat. But damn it. Someone told my inner man that I’ll never have a giant project like this again, and that’s changed something inside me, and instead of focusing on the new project—which I do have—my heart is a little bit somewhere else. It’s not like I won’t work hard. I will work very hard. I am incapable of being lazy. But something has changed that ain’t coming back. It’s my professional vision of a journey of three-thousand miles. The sense that there’s still a thousand miles to go, and the need to move forward without relent. That sense out on the trail that my family are counting on me. That I can’t slow down or give up or even rest for very long. But with this big project ending I can now sense the last horizon ahead, and it’s only a fifty miles or so away—just over that last range of low, coastal mountains. I can even smell the ocean now. We’re getting close to the end. If this career were a journey across America, then I’ve just now got faint whiff of the sea. I’ll be at the Pacific Ocean soon, with no professional place further to go. And damn it, my body and inner man knows this, and something about me has changed as a result. I think it’s time for the man sitting beside me on this wagon crossing America to take the reigns and drive. After all, he’s going back across the country without me when the wagons turn around to return east. He’ll then need to drive this wagon alone. It’s not me being lazy that wants him to drive. It’s me being practical, I think. As this younger man needs and deserves the practice navigating and steering before I go, leading the wagons in our little train. I’ll give him the reigns now and watch him drive. And then I think I’ll get off and walk behind for a spell, let the new guy drive for a bit all alone and on his own. I’ll walk back here behind the wagons, keeping up, ready to come forward if I’m called. I’ll just walk here alone in the quiet and the peace, and savor that freshening smell of an approaching sea. #GoingAlone #Reason

What was your very first paid job? And what did you learn then that you can still apply today?🪞 Reflecting on my journey that kicked off at Burger King when I was 16! 🍔 From working the drive-thru to corporate triumphs, it's been an incredible ride. 🚀 Here are some priceless lessons I've carried from the milkshake machine to the executive meetings:1️⃣ Teamwork: Just like working with the kitchen staff, collaboration is key to success. 🤝🏽2️⃣ Adaptability: Handling a fast-paced drive-thru prepared me for corporate curveballs. 🔄3️⃣ Customer Focus: Making hot fries or enhancing service/process models, customer satisfaction is paramount. 👑4️⃣ Work Ethic: Late night & double shifts taught me the power of hard work and dedication. ⏰5️⃣ Leadership: Whether leading the frontline crew or a corporate team, leadership skills are timeless. 🌟Here's to the journey from the flame grill to the office! 🎂🥳 (and yes, I keep everything 😜😊)#corporateculture #workethic #careerjourney

I recently participated in the PepsiCo's virtual job simulation on the Forage platform, and it was incredibly useful to understand what it might be like to participate on a Sales Team at Pepsico or any other related industry. I worked on a project to secure an incremental product display in a retail store. I participated using a Sales pitch and built my communication and coaching skills in a real-world context. In the Simulation I :-1.) Completed a simulation focused on sales for PepsiCo. 2.) Developed a selling pitch to secure a display in a retail store. 3.) Coached a team member on resourcing and planning a retail display set up. This was my first virtual job simulation and was really helpful to me undoubtedly!
